He sounds like a photographer, just without a camera. And a lot more fun to go noticing with than me. I spend so much time noticing and sometimes trapped in a long notice. Best, I've learned that all the training and visual pushups I've done to hone my visual noticing have also built up my noticing skills for scent, sound, touch. A great reflection, color fringe on a cloud, a texture that's both inviting and warning, and I can be still right there for long stretches of time. People who know me have learned to just continue on, I'll resurface at some point and find them.

Ahh . . . the noticer who shares his delight. Wandering along with you today and hearing your appreciation for the noticer you raised was settling to my heart.

This brings me to tears, Kathy. As I read, I feel I am an observer of a mother and son, being together, sharing with tender, open hearts..and the moment you point out the shift where your son's role has shifted slightly and he is demonstrating care and awareness of you is deeply touching. Again, more "small" moments that are not small at all.

It also brings tears for the moments where I feel so "busy," rushed, and I am missing so many moments. So many loving winks from the benevolent universe, nature,God, capital L love, friends that are I'm sure there, and alive for me right in my view, but I am flying by them so fast, their kisses do not land on me.
